About the workshop:
If your child tends to say “I can’t”, shuts down easily, or struggles to express how they feel, this workshop is designed to help them shift out of that pattern.
In this session, your child will learn to recognise their emotions and understand what helps them feel calm, focused, or happy. Instead of bottling things up or reacting out of frustration, they are guided to express themselves in healthier, more constructive ways, while picking up simple coping strategies to manage moments of frustration or excitement. As they gain better control over their emotions, they become more willing to try, even when something feels unfamiliar or difficult.
They are also introduced to a growth mindset, learning to move from “I can’t” to “I can try”. Beyond that, your child will learn how to set meaningful goals and build their own motivation, while gradually letting go of limiting beliefs and self-sabotaging habits.
After the workshop, you are not left guessing what to do next. You will receive a Thrive! Toolkit created for parents, with simple activities and guided conversations to help you support your child at home. Your child will also receive a GenBrave Thrive! Power Pack, a set of hands-on resources designed to help them continue building confidence and applying what they have learned beyond the session.
Learning highlights:
By the end of the workshop, your child will have simple, practical ways to handle their emotions and respond more calmly in everyday situations. They will be more open to trying, even when something feels new or uncomfortable, and have a clearer sense of how to work through small challenges instead of avoiding them. With the support of the tools provided, you can continue reinforcing these skills at home, helping your child build confidence and apply what they have learned in a more consistent way over time.
