About the Experience
Let your child discover French baking in the most hands-on and delicious way!
Led by Eric, a French-trained baker educated at Eric Kayser School and L’Atelier des Chefs, your child will learn authentic French techniques in a fun, approachable, and child-friendly way. Following simple, step-by-step recipes, they’ll create their own shortbread from scratch while picking up basic pastry skills.
No prior cooking or baking experience is needed — just curiosity, excitement, and a love for tasting their creations! From mixing and shaping to baking, decorating, and proudly bringing home their pastry, every step is hands-on and joyful.
This experience also doubles as a playful introduction to French. Eric comes from a French family where good food is part of everyday life, and during the session which is conducted in English, your child will also get to learn and use simple, age-appropriate French words naturally through cooking instructions and conversation. Recipes and key French vocabulary are shared before the session too, so kids can come in feeling familiar, confident, and excited to try something new.
The session can be enjoyed as a child-only or parent-and-child experience, making it a fun way to bond while exploring French food and culture together. This experience takes place at a personal studio at Serangoon Garden, a human-sized cozy kitchen located in a private residence.
