About the experience:
Get a closer look at how food is grown at a real working city farm that brings aquaponics and hydroponics into an urban setting. In this hands-on session, you and your child will discover how fish, plants and water work together in an aquaponics system, while learning how hydroponics uses water and nutrients to grow plants without soil.
Get up close to the farm’s tilapia, hold live compost worms and get your hands into the growbeds as you explore the different growing methods and key components of an aquaponics setup. Your child will see how fish, plants and microbes work together in one ecosystem, before harvesting fresh produce on-site to bring home.
Kloop Exclusive: Build and take home your own live worm jar in a 500ml round container, with worms and castings, giving you enough to get started with composting at home.
